Suicide prevention!!!

A suicidal person may not ask for help, but that doesn't mean that help isn't wanted. Most people who commit suicide don't want to die—they just want to stop hurting. Suicide prevention starts with recognizing the warning signs and taking them seriously.

If you think a friend or family member is considering suicide, you might be afraid to bring up the subject. But talking openly about suicidal thoughts and feelings can save a life. Speak up if you're concerned and seek professional help immediately! Through understanding, reassurance, and support, you can help your loved one overcome thoughts of suicide.

10 Quick and Painless Things You Can Do To Help Save The Climate

It’s common knowledge that the world is a ticking carbon dioxide bound time bomb, and every moment we spend ignoring the state of our climate hammers down the nails on the earth’s tomb. Rather than lamenting our impending doom, however, why not do something about it?

If you’re scared of jumping into commitment, however, or if the thought of making major life changes freak you out, here are ten climate-saving tips that literally seem like a piece of cake, or a walk in the park – whichever you prefer:

1. Disengage.
This also applies to transformers and voltage regulators. When left plugged or on standby, your home appliances are still using energy – and that’s energy you pay for that benefits no one. Hitting that power button and unplugging your appliances when not in use saves you roughly P2300 a year.

2. Whip out the clothesline.
Fore go the clothes dryer and hang your laundry out in the sun to dry instead. Clothes dryers average 1,600 watts of energy per hour, so if you wash and dry your clothes every two weeks, that computes to around P120 slashed off your monthly electric bill.

3. Eat everything on your plate.
Or at least just take, cook or buy only as much food as you can finish. Uneaten food that goes straight to the garbage adds to the trash you produce, and when you reduce food waste you automatically decrease your carbon emissions.

4. Check your tire pressure constantly.
Optimal tire pressure helps your car burn fuel more efficiently. If you own a car and are looking to get more mileage from your vehicle, keeping your tires inflated right hits two birds with one stone – it reduces your carbon emissions while giving you more value for money.

5. Keep a close watch on your air filter.
Score another one for the motorists: replacing or cleaning out your air filters also helps your use your fuel more efficiently. You can have this done along with your tire pressure adjustments whenever you have your oil changed.

6. Better yet, travel on two wheels, or on your own two feet.
Walking or biking beats a fuel efficient vehicle every time. Because neither mode of transport requires the burning of fossil fuels, choosing the heel over the steering wheel is the best way to cut back on carbon while still getting to your destination.

7. The matter of meat.
Most Pinoys love eating meat so much that it’s a non-negotiable, even when it comes to climate advocacy. However, the slightest reduction in meat consumption can still impact your total carbon emission, so for every week, make at least 3 to 5 meals meat-less. Remember, a little effort goes a long way!

8. Spare the pulp.
Rain forests are Mother Nature’s very own carbon dioxide regulating systems. Without their gallant stewardship, we wouldn’t be here today! We need to keep them alive and flourishing if we want to stay in the game. So be it tissue, a note pad, office documents, paper coffee cups, or store paper bags, think twice – there is always an alternative to paper!

9. Lighten up.
You’ve probably deduced by now that the more fuel or energy efficient you are, the less carbon dioxide emissions you make. The same rule stands for lighting – fluorescent bulbs trump incandescent bulbs every time, which is win-win for everyone since it’s both carbon and cost efficient.

10. Shop wisely.
On your grocery or mall run, bring a sizable canvas tote and stash everything you buy inside. This saves you and the businesses you support on plastic bags. This habit not only reduces your waste but also lessens the need for production of problematic plastic.

So really, you don’t need to make any grand gestures of environmental activism – climate action can be as simple as making more responsible choices in your daily life.thank you:)

BAD BOYS……are interesting!!!!!

While most girls will say they want a nice guy who can make them laugh, there are also likely to fall head over heels for the bad boy who can drive them crazy. For me dating a bad boy is like dating Johnny Deep.

Bad boy has this yummy appeal. I believe a bad boy has his own interesting life; he acts as if he doesn’t care and he isn’t always available. His face is his work of fiction. He may act foolish and stupid sometimes. I remember crushing on a bad boy a year ago, I don’t know but there’s something about him that made me interested. He is full of mystery. I’m so lucky to have gotten close to him. I remember my pal asked me “What do I like about him?” I answered, “If you’ll get to know him you’ll like him too”. Bad boys are misunderstood by many. Being friends with this bad boy This guy, who up to now is my good friend, made me realized that bad boys are nice guys.He showed me that they are capable of loving. At first it was hard for me to understand him because I find him nasty and boastful, but when I started to talk to him and get to know him I realized,he(despite of his bad boy image) has this unique sense of humor. I remember when he was still here in Manila he will tease me, almost every day, as if his day will not be completed if he hasn’t tease me haha. Also bad boy is sweet and gentleman. I remember one time I had my lunch at my friend's home and he was there, while I was eating he gave me a glass of water (that’s so sweet of him). And he would help if he sees me doing something. Proof that a bad boy is sweet: He would always text me to ask if I had eaten already and tell me to take care of myself. Because of him I became a fan of bad boys.

I remember I was daydreaming of hooking up with him. I wanted to be with him in a special spot where we can enjoy together, talk about our dreams, laugh at our heads off and just stare at each other all day. But I realized that him and I are better off as friends and just be happy that I got to forge exceptional friendship with him. Well it’s sad but there’s lot of bad boys out there haha, maybe I should start hunting a bad boy right now. For all the single ladies out there try dating a bad boy and you’ll surely fall in love with them not necessarily have a commitment with them but being friends with them would be ok, just decide later if you want to take your friendship to the next level.

LOVE….LOVE….LOVE….LOVE

Talk about waking up on the right side of your bed. Some days you can’t help but feel incurably romantic. Romance is one of life’s most thrilling natural highs so it’s best to make the most of those rose-colored glasses when you have them on. Speaking of romance I’ve read in a magazine (Cosmopolitan Philippines) that a person can have multiple SOULMATE, interesting!!! According to a poll conducted by the Cosmo magazine 70% of their readers believe that they will marry their Prince Charming and once they unite with that person they’ll live happily ever after.

According to PhD. Joseph Dragun, a person can fall in love numerous times, and that you’ll likely fall in different kinds of love depending on where you are in your life. He also elaborates that as we grow older and change, the type of guy who is best suited for you changes. So a soul mate when you’re 18 may be very different from a soul mate when you’re 28-which why people often don’t end up with their first love.

PhD. Joseph Dragun says that believing that you have a single soul mate is romantic, but clinging to the idea that there’s only one person for you could cause you to miss out on great guys. What’s more? Imagining your soul mate to be squared-jawed billionaire philanthropist who’s great with kids further limits your love chances.
After reading the feature article I learned that a woman who manufactures a flawless specimen as her meant-to-be-partner in life will almost certainly never find him. Well there’s nothing wrong on believing or imagining a perfect soul mate, it’s exciting I know. But what’s more exciting is you just don’t know who you’ll connect with. Remember that nobody’s perfect, accepting your partner’s flaws and loving it will surely make your relationship work. Loving someone is an adventure, so love, love, and love and look forward of being able to share good-life enriching relationship with that someone<3

Great days…time to say thank you

It’s all good. Days that feel like they were doused in magic ought to be treasured; and given thanks for. Life’s packed with meaningful moments and small miracles-take it all in and chronicle the good times.
Cliché as it is “Live Life to fullest” and try to thank people who made you the person you are today, thank the people who made you a better person and those who made and make you happy.
I thank my sister Faye for buying me the Face backpack and the gladiator sandals I’ve been dying to have, I thank Faye for giving birth of Lil Just, for the wonderful and precious years with her, and for giving me rational advices. I thank my English teacher in High school who told me that I have a real writing talent. I thank my guy friend Daryl who took time to tutor me in Math and treats me cheese cake when I’m down. I thank Noreen who pays my fare sometimes when we go home, and for being my companion going home. I thank Sandee for being so sweet and for being my calendar and alarm clock and for reminding me about school paper works. I thank Dianne for the things I’ve learned from her especially about fashion and about Paris Hilton, and for being such a good talker, I really enjoy chatting with her. I thank Bhless for always making me laugh with her crazy and playful antics; I thank her for her Blog that I read. I thank Sarah for being the person I really connect with, for being the person I can talk to about everything under the sun, I thank her for downloading videos and mp3’s for me, for teaching the things I have to learn about computers, and for making me feel that when I’m down I can lean on her shoulders. I thank my P.W.D friends and my marze for surprising me on my birthday. I thank my Akipong (My mom’s brother who took care of us) for being a disciplinarian because of that I became a responsible person, I thank him for loving me and my siblings unconditionally and for treating us like his own. I thank my nephew Lil Just and niece Kc for making me smile and for giving me an explainable happiness. I thank my former enemies for all the criticisms they’ve thrown on me that made me a stronger person. I thank all the criticisms I received for it made me do my best and put my 101% effort in everything I do. I thank my first love for teaching me one important thing: to LOVE. I thank my big brother Arjay though he’s not showy I know that he wants the best for me. I thank my Father, who is one of the reason why I am here in the world, though we’ve got lots of emotional issues I know and I’m sure that he do love me. I thank God for all the days I wake up because every day I learn new things, new realizations. And lastly I thank my wonderful and the most important person in my heart my MOM, I thank my mom for sacrificing so much for us, for working during her day-off’s just to be able to send us money, for her unconditional LOVE, Mom may not be physically here but she is definitely emotionally and spiritually here beside me and my siblings, I thank Mom for always making it a point to call us every Saturday, for providing us the things we need and want, and lastly I thank Mom for instilling values on us that will serve as her legacy.I LOVE YOU MOM.
I will never get tired of thanking you all. I love you all.

How to Tell if a Guy Likes you - Five Signs He's Interested by Tonja Weimer

How can you tell if a guy likes you or is interested? You noticed him when you were standing and talking with a friend. You think he noticed you, but maybe it was your imagination or just wishful thinking. He looked at you at about the same time you saw him. Your eyes met for just a few seconds, and then you looked away. When you looked back up, he was talking with some other people. Was he watching you as you mingled? Or were you making that up? How can you tell if a guy likes you? Why are guys so hard to read?

Here are five signs that he is interested in you too. If any of the following happens, he is probably trying to get close enough to ask you out:

1. He tells someone

Is he interested? He likes you if he tells a mutual friend that he wants to know more about you, or he asks other people who you are and where you're from. He is trying to act like he's "just asking" but his questions indicate more than a casual interest. And when he tells someone that he finds you attractive, he probably knows that it will get back to you. He's hoping it does.

2. The look

He gives you a look that betrays his calm exterior. Even though he is across the room, "that look" he has says it all. It is sweeping, from your head to your toes, and then his eyes linger on yours. You think you notice the beginning of a tentative smile.

3. The conversation

Does he like you? When he manages to get close enough to you, to ask you questions, he is interested. He appears to be listening and responds to what you say. He's moving in to the ultimate question, which is: "Are you seeing anyone." He would only ask this question if he wanted to date you, and he hopes the answer is "No." Never ever wear a ring in public. When a guy is across the room, he cannot tell which finger it is on and he may assume incorrectly that you are taken. If he doesn't ask you the question of whether or not you are attached, he may ask someone whom you both know.

4. He appears unexpectedly

He likes you a lot if he shows up out of nowhere. He can only do that if he has been asking people about your schedule, or he has been paying attention to where you are going and at what time. His face may turn red when he sees you. A sudden, "Oh, hi," is his way of saying, "I don't want to seem obvious, but I am interested in you." If you feel the same way, do not act shy. Stop and talk to him.

5. EVERYONE likes you

Is he interested? When you are well liked and a happy person, why wouldn't he like you? Of course he does. If you don't have a great life, however, now is your time to start working on one. Take a look at your career possibilities, body image, future, plans, and resources. You may be naturally talented at something, but it won't matter unless you work on your strengths. Misused or unused talents fade away. School and training do not.

These are the five signs that he is interested and he is on the verge of asking you out. Make it easy for him and be friendly. This is where relationships begin.

Blessing in Disguise

I stared at myself in the mirror this morning for an unusually long time. My phone was ringing, an unknown number. When I answered it the call came from my former crush whom I considered as one of my closest guy friend back in High school. We talked about how we met. That day ( I forgot what date it was) was my first public performance. The whole student population would be seeing me flailing my arms and legs as if they're independent from my body, making a grand fool of myself
for sure. By the time I got to school, I was wondering whether I could ever look good with tomato juice streaming down my face because a million and one things could go wrong. But first thing first- practice till the show starts. The first was uneventful because, surprisingly, I didn't mess up. Then I started thinking, hey, maybe I can do this. The second time, we upped the intensity to performance level, amazingly our choreographer proudly exclaimed we were breathtaking. By this time, the show was to start in 5 minutes, and we were set to our last run.

When it comes to unfortunate events happening, some people are really psychic. They can have a sense for these things. They can feel bad luck coming a mile away. I on the other hand, am like a deer caught in the bad luck's headlight. I have no idea it's coming till it runs me over. And run over, it did. During one particularly tricky step with complicated footwork, I felt excruciating pain shoot up my leg. Before it had dawned on me that I'd twisted my ankle, I went on to put my whole weight on it and had to hit the floor, fast. Tears welled up my eyes, mostly in pain, partly in frustration. I had to be sent to the clinic. On the way there, when I wasn't thinking about whether I had torn my ligaments, I was feeling sorry for myself. My day of glory was over even before it started. Before they opened the clinic's door for me, I was sure I could almost see the glint in Carlo's eyes from up on stage.

And when they did open the door, I could actually see the glint in Carlo's eyes from where I was standing, in hop scotch fashion, just outside the hall. If I weren't in pain, I would've done a double take. The school nurse did her job on me before she had me plop down on bed next to Carlo''s. " So what are you in for?" Carlo said, grinning, as he raised his upper body from off the bed and leaned on his right elbow to face me. His right ankle was plastered like mine, and he had his basketball jersey on. "Flat feet" I simply said. At this time I'm amazed I'm capable of wit. He watched my friends I came with left, muttering that we were probably to be cued soon. He looked at them he said "Too bad, I was going to ask you to dance," and winked. I don't remember on how I reacted when he said that. When I told Carlo about it that I was really happy when he told me he's going to asked me to dance we burst out laughing.
